    His Holiness Sri Swami Satchidananda (Sri Gurudev) founded and spiritually guides Satchidananda Ashram–Yogaville and the Integral Yoga organization. One of the most revered Yoga masters of all time, Sri Gurudev is regarded as an apostle of peace. He is the author of many books, among them: Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Integral Yoga Hatha, To Know Your Self and The Golden Present. He established Yogaville, a large spiritual center in central Virginia. Yogaville is the site of the Light Of Truth Universal Shrine (LOTUS), dedicated to the Light of all faiths and to world peace, based on Sri Gurudev’s interfaith teaching that “Truth is one, paths are many.” In 2002, Sri Gurudev entered Mahasamadhi (the final exit from the physical body by a God-realized soul).
